It's been awhile!

WOW I haven't blogged in forever and a day! I want to do a better job of this, because I like to look back on posts and memories. :) I guess a lot has been going on! I'm coming up on being 7 months pregnant with our third child, a girl, and still have been homeschooling my son for his preschool year. That has kept me insanely busy. We've been updating our home, partially to prepare for the new baby, and I've been a busy bee painting rooms! It's been really fun.

I'm also really excited because Artists Against AIDS is this next week! I did it last year, sold one of my wall art pieces -which I forgot to take a picture of, oops- and was really happy to be part of an organization that reaches out to those with HIV. I wanted to share the new pieces I made specifically for the show this year.

This one is called "All You Need", machine stitched thread on fabric.

"Watch the World", machine and hand-stitched thread on fabric.

"Love Abounds", machine stitched fabric hearts.

These were all so fun to do, and a change of pace from what I have been making lately. I've been selling a whole lot of dish cloths in the shop this year. They are fun to make and people (er, women) really seem to like them. :) And its awesome! But making these were a breath of fresh air. I felt really inspired while making them, and coming up with new ideas. ----> So woo hoo to new ideas and art!

Happy Saturday!

I hope you are having a wonderful weekend so far. We have been a little sick around here, but its still a bright sunny day- and that makes me happy! :)

I got my acceptance letter for Arts in the Park, which will be my VERY FIRST craft show! I am SUPER excited! Woo hoo! :) Go here for more info.

I have added some more items to my vintage shop, and wanted to finally share that as well. It's called The Speckled Mushroom. Check it out!

I also have to share something amazing (hehe). Last night I asked my husband Barry to pick up some Ben and Jerry's for me when he went to the store.. and He walked in the house with this:

New designs in the shop!

Woo hoo! I'm so excited about 2 new designs I've added to the shop!

Here they are:

Glass Marble rings and Wall decor- these are very very recent ideas that I was able to make- and there is more on the way! I'm so happy to be able to add new things to my shop. I feel like I'm finding my niche. :)

Friday Finds

Sorry its been a bit quiet here lately, I've been crazy busy. I'm working on some new designs for the shop, and we are house hunting! Its really exciting. We think we found our place. *Fingers crossed!* The blog kinda gets put on the back burner when I'm busy like this. Sometimes I wonder if I'm talking to a handful of you, if that? Oh well, I have wanted to do this for so long, so I'm not gonna give up now. :)

Happy Friday! I love Fridays. I'm stoked because I have an Aunt and Uncle driving through in about an hour and I get to visit with them! They live in Nebraska so I don't seem them too often. It'll be nice. Other than that, my hubby is on spring break (he works for a University) for the next week so we're excited!

this artist recently bought a bow from my shop, so i checked out hers and was blown away by her papercut art! this piece is so amazing.

this travel journal by susie ghahremani is so sweet. my mom always had us fill out journals when we went on vacation. :)

Shop Update

Just checking in to say that I've added a few new pouches to the shop! More to come in the next few days as well.

I am really excited about my newest creation, The Bunting Pouch.

I think it is a great reminder to celebrate each day! I think buntings are so charming. I made one for my son's room, and want to create one for my daughter's space as well. :)

Hope your week is going great. I have lots of party planning to do, my son's 4th birthday party is this Saturday. I can hardly believe it.

Time flies, huh? The older I get, the faster it seems to go.
