Friday Finds

This edition of Friday Finds is inspired by my love of picnics! :) My Mom, brother and I used to go on picnics when I was younger. I always loved them. I'd love to go on one with my little family very soon.

these pretty paper straws would be so cute in glasses of lemonade!

no picnic would be complete without a granny square blanket! this one is beautiful.

when I think of a picnic, this vintage basket is exactly what comes to mind.

to me, any occasion is a perfect excuse for cupcakes. these look PERFECT!

Of course, there has to be lots of yummy food besides cupcakes. And friends or family to enjoy it with. These are just a few items that I think make a picnic special. Its the little things, right?

Well I'm off to finish up an order of bunting pouches for a bride! :) So exciting. I also have to get ready for my first craft show next weekend. I'll post more about that in a few days.

Music Monday

This post is coming a little late in the evening. My daughter has a bad case of hives and I had to take her to the Dr. today. :( Poor baby.

Happy Saturday!

I hope you are having a wonderful weekend so far. We have been a little sick around here, but its still a bright sunny day- and that makes me happy! :)

I got my acceptance letter for Arts in the Park, which will be my VERY FIRST craft show! I am SUPER excited! Woo hoo! :) Go here for more info.

I have added some more items to my vintage shop, and wanted to finally share that as well. It's called The Speckled Mushroom. Check it out!

I also have to share something amazing (hehe). Last night I asked my husband Barry to pick up some Ben and Jerry's for me when he went to the store.. and He walked in the house with this:

Friday Finds - Vacation Edition

Hi there and Happy Friday!

It is almost summer, and its been so sunny and nice outside where I live. Hopefully it has been where you are too. :)

I've been dreaming about going on a vacation. I haven't been on one in quite some time, but I was reminiscing about a trip I went on when I was 10. It was to San Francisco, and I went with my family. It was awesome. We stayed with my Mom's high school friend and her family, we rented a convertible, and saw all sorts of great spots in the city, and drove up north to Wine Country. I can still remember what the redwood trees smell like, driving down the highway with the top down. *Ahh memories* :) Here are some great finds from etsy that remind me of that amazing vacation.

A much needed break.

I have taken quite a bit of a break from this blog, and I want a fresh new start for it.

I want it to be inspiration-filled, a happy place to come and visit. :)

I have some exciting updates coming soon. I have been sewing and creating lots lately. I also opened another etsy shop! Its vintage. I'll share when I have more items listed. There's currently only one little orange Thermos in it. :)

It's APRIL!?

Geeeeez this year is already flying by!

I am really excited/nervous/anxious because I am participating in some upcoming craft shows and an exhibition. Its a good nervousness, I have butterflies! I'll post specifics when everything is lined up. :) I have never done any shows.. So I need to get to work big time in the next few weeks.

I plan on making many more pieces of kite wall art, as well as some other designs I've dreamed up. :) Here is some kite inspiration for myself, and you!

Can't wait til the weather is warmer so I can go fly a kite with my little family. We have an awesome spot in a big park with a valley that is perfect. :) For now I'll have to daydream.

New designs in the shop!

Woo hoo! I'm so excited about 2 new designs I've added to the shop!

Here they are:

Glass Marble rings and Wall decor- these are very very recent ideas that I was able to make- and there is more on the way! I'm so happy to be able to add new things to my shop. I feel like I'm finding my niche. :)
